During an overnight stay in Billings, my boyfriend and I decided to grab takeout and a bottle of wine and relax in the Airbnb we... rented. We stopped at City Vineyard for the wine and I am SO glad we did. Neither my boyfriend or I have a sophisticatedpalette. We can't tell a $20 bottle of wine from a $60 bottle of wine and usually buy a case of Menage a Tois from Costco atabout $10/bottle, drink that and call it a day. We CAN tell if we don't like something and there are a few wines we know tonever buy again but other than that, we don't know much about wines When we walked into City Vineyard, I was a littleintimidated. I saw a large selection and wine prices from $19-$99 per bottle. I immediately started searching for stuff nearerto the $19 range. I wasn't searching long when we were asked if we needed help. I honestly answered that both my boyfriend andI DO NOT have sophisticated palettes but was looking for a wine we can relax with. We were then asked a series of questions(red or white? Are you planning to eat it with food and, if so, what? Etc). I answered his questions but made it OBVIOUS wewere searching for an affordable but good red wine. And, yet, even with our limited budget, that employee treated us withrespect and seemed to be genuinely interested in finding the best wine that suited OUR needs (affordable, was going to eat itwith Brazilian take out, etc). We ended up buying 3 wines and a couple of cheeses and will definitely be back. Read more
I frequent this fine establishment quite often! I love the atmosphere! So calm and gives you a sense of peace! Or at least it... brings me peace! Maybe thats just the booze that I drink there (totally kidding) truly this is a very nice place! Love havingbrunch! Ryan and Nicole always take great care of me every time I come in! Especially Ryan! My girlfriend and I go here often. It?s our favorite place. Really great wine menu, excellent appetizer selections, really... enjoyable environment, and the servers are always very friendly and provide great service. Read more
Billings best wine store hands down. Huge selection, some fantastic mid range stuff and very kind, knowledgeable and fun staff.... Easy recommendation from me. Just come in and ask tell 'em what you're looking for and walk home with a great bottle of wine. Read more
