Menu is a-la-carte and pricy. It's the premium restaurant at Harrah's. I have stayed here a couple times and cause I get free... stays with Caesar's Rewards. Was hoping for so much more and didn't get it. Was ready to spend after being so impressed withthe food at the New Orleans Harrah's, but this was not it. Ordered the Rib Eye and garlic potatoes. The cost was in the $80'sand the food was sub par. Very plain and wasn't even an impressive steak. Cut was fairly thin, ordered medium and was majorityred, atmosphere was lacking, and service was average at best. Potatoes were the best part of the meal but only ok, and 'm notsure they were made fresh. The steak down the street at island view absolutely destroys this place. Don't go ever. Read more
The staff?s service and ambiance saved the day. They and it were perfect. The staff were attentive, accommodating, and very... friendly. The ambiance put the biggest smile on my face. I just knew I was in for some delicious food. Well, nothing was good.My NY strip was medium well although I asked for medium. I had our table shaking like a Polaroid picture because the steak wasdifficult to cut. No S&P or seasoning whatsoever could be smelled or tasted. My husband did the blackened salmon Oscar style -beautifully plated but no flavor at all. The crab meat tasted like fresh air. For $185, we were very disappointed. Dinner with our HOST WHO DOES THE MOST the fabulous Melanie! Magnolia house was perfection. A beautiful house salad, medium rare... steak made so perfect I couldn?t be happier because nowhere else has ever made my steak right but Magnolia, and a chocolate cakethat was out of this world. I ordered the house salad which was good. I also ordered the filet mignon with a baked potato. The filet mignon was tough and... over cooked. I ordered it medium and it came out well done I sent it back and they sent one out still cold in the middle. Soall I ate for my dinner was the baked potato. Steak was supposed to be medium. It was so tough I could barely cut it. Sides were so small 2 people could not share. Steak was... no tasty and seriously barely better than going to Golden Coral. Very disappointing. The worst $100 meal I have ever eaten and Iam over 50. That is a new low for me. Mashed potatoes and water was good.. Would not recommend ever. Read more
