I just ordered a veggie plate and should have read the negative reviews? the Mac and cheese is over cooked and technicolor, the... greens are okay but oily . Only thing decent was the butter beans. Obvious they are popular with the locals but those justpassing through I suggest you go elsewhere Read more

By far 1 of the worst experiences, long wait times, terrible management, stood in line 50min for a veggie plate, someone took... our order outside in a long hot line, gave our ticket with the food we want back to us then u walk up to the window and give itto the cashier, the food already done And cooked and sitting on a steam table all day why does it take 50min to fix the platesonly 10 people were in front of me. The system & ordering process is torture & needs to be revamped, the mgr was complainingthat the cook wanted to many smoke breaks! Only 3people working & moving slow as snails, then when u ask why it took so long, they get an attitude with you! This experience today puts a bad taste in my mouth about eagles & the 2 little sides I did get, Icouldn?t eat because it?s to salty! Please do better next time by your potential clients! The whole line was upset, however I?mvoicing my opinion on my experience! If the customers don?t come, you don?t make money! Stay humble, Be blessed ???? Read more

I am beyond disappointed, I bought the oxtail with Mac and cheese and greens and when I say everything is nasty ???? ???? it?s... an understatement. They I bought peach cobbler also and after getting so disappointed with everything else a tried to eatalready I had hope that their peach cobbler would save the day but boy was I wrong , that almost made me puke ????. This topsany nasty food place I have ever had . I am done going by peoples review, even the food pictures didn?t look good and I shouldhave known by looking at the pictures and not just what people were saying. Waste of $32 . If I could leave a -5 star I would. Read more

I've heard great things about this place and tried to check them out last year but decided not to because the line was literally... down the block. This time I ordered on-line and that went well. They have a separate line for online orders, so I only waitedabout 10 min for my order. I don't think they fix the plates before you arrive, so ordering online just allows you to skipahead. I had 2 chicken & dressing plates and a fried porkchop plate. My sides were fried corn, au gratin potatoes, black eyepeas, mac & cheese, and collard greens. The chicken, corn, potatoes, and peas were pretty good. The other food - not so good. The dressing was so loaded with sage and seasonings we couldn't eat it. The mac was dry and this really weird super bright shadeof orange. The collards greens had no flavor and the porkchops were tough and over seasoned. I had hoped this would be my newgo-to place for soul food. Not sure if I will return and give the other menu items a try. :-( Read more
