Don?t go for the food! The location, atmosphere and presentation of the food are great Where Surin West gets lost is the taste.... We were in Birmingham looking for a nice relaxing healthy Asian lunch, did a quick Google search and found Surin West I wish Icould say more but it reminded me of Never Over promise and Under Deliver Everything we ordered was either to salty or verybland The food presentation was wonderful and it was such a let down Read more

We went on a Saturday night and the restaurant was not crazy busy so that was nice. The service was great - our server was... super friendly and attentive. The food was decent - I had an appetizer (dumplings in curry) and the volcano roll. It was notthe best I ever had, so I don?t know if I would go back and have sushi. Read more
An incredible downtown Birmingham gem located walking distance from UAB Hilton downtown. Had a colleague recommend Surin West... and it did not disappoint. The bar service was attentive, friendly and warm. I enjoyed every single dish I even had 2 orders ofthe crab angels because they were so good! The blue dolphin tini was sweet yet tasty, the bar tender even gave me a little extrato top me off after I had a few sips! If you?re in the downtown Birmingham area you definitely need to stop by.
