Awesome food, great atmosphere, and plenty of beer & drink selection!
Went in for a quick lunch. Place was empty (which was nice) Sat at a long bench with 8 seats on it. Sat there being ignored. ... Then, the only attention we got was to be told to move to a smaller seat, which we were then ignored again. Sweeping the floorwas WAY more important than getting us at least waters and flatware... Finally got to eat, and when we left, STILL NO ONE camein to use that 6 top table, that they were sure was going to fill up... It was completely rude and useless moving us to thatsmaller table... Edit: 1 October, 2022. Went back. Because their food's good. Sat at the bar. A couple sat IN THE EXACT SAMEPLACE we did a few months ago, which was that wide open 8 top. PLACE WAS PACKED. There was even a kids homecoming there aswell. NO ONE told them to move, and they were CLEARLY taking up only TWO SEATS out of eight lol. I don't get it. One of the most comfortable places to eat in Birmingham. Staff is always friendly and they have a great beer selection. Lots of... seating in main restaurant area and very large and airy open area to eat and drink in the back ("The Dow"). Food is always good,but kind of pricey for size of portions in my opinion (cheapest burger with chips is 17 bucks). Read more

Sat at the bar and was met with a friendly staff. I tried their version of a Murray Salad but the ham and turkey? were from... cold cut slices you find in your refrigerator. The lettuce wasn't pre tossed with the dressing which turned out to be in aplastic cup and tasted no better than mayonnaise. Their beer selection is decently wide but poorly described on their menu. Their bar stools had side bumps that are uncomfortable enough to make you wanna hurry your visit and go away. Probably best toget a table instead. With so many options in the area it is unlikely I'll return but it's still a fairly decent pub despitebeing loaded with uppity people. Read more
