Very good! The oysters Rockefeller were delicious. Would also recommend the bouillabaisse (so great for cold weather)

First time eating street side. Nice small shotgun style establishment. Great wine list and some yummy cocktails. Decent beer... menu as well. Fish tacos were good and mussels. New England clam chowder was really good Read more

Went there because of the good reviews - however, the food was disappointing, especially at this price point. We had oysters... and all of them were extremely small. Some were even like ?barely there? kind of small. We ordered mussels but the entire platecame with very fishy smell which later I found it from a badly rotten mussel. I brought it up to the server and he said ithappens and they will be more careful in the future. The service was okay. We waited at our table for a while to order atfirst, but later we got served by someone else who was polite and professional. Overall, nice location and atmosphere! Sadly wewould probably not visit again. Read more

One of our favorites in Birmingham. Great seafood great drinks great service. Nice atmosphere sitting outside. Got a try the... lobster bisque and the shrimp and grits. Also love the map on the wall that shows where all the oysters come from. Read more

The Seaside Grill is a very small restaurant.  The design is simple.  For the place, you think it would have standing room... only but it was only that busy once. One of the biggest downsides of the place is openness to the outside and no overheadfans.  It was hot in the place.   It limited some aspects of the night. The service was split.    The bartender service waswonderful.  The kitchen staff service was slow.  At the beginning, I ordered oysters. A few minutes later,  I ordered themain dish.    The main dish actually beat the oysters out.  The Bartender was apologetic. I ordered an old fashioned.  Theyhad no speciality drinks but a huge wine list.   The drink was decently made.  It was nothing special but decent size.  Ionly drank One because of the heat.   I was lucky because the pricing was a little high.   The bartender did get some breadfor me.  It was cooked well. I ordered three Raspberry Point raw oysters.   They were small.  Normal raspberry pointoysters  are about 3 to 3 1.2 inches .  These were babies.  They were only about 2 inches at the most.    The meat of theoysters was smaller than that.    They were definitely not worth the prices they were listed at. My main dish  was the shrimpbowl.  It was a restaurant version of a Japanese rice  bowl, I think. It was gritts, spinach, chorizo, and corn with shrimp. Isay that because shrimp felt like an additive more than anything else.  You had to detail the shrimp so it was harder to  eattogether. In the end,  I was happy that I kept the sauces from the oysters to use with the shrimp.    Grits, spinach, chorizoand corn side were  good. I expected more of the chorizo flavoring and oils to be seen. I know this place is a fan favorite forsome people.   I have been there before years ago with others.   Between the back end service, quality of the food andpricing,  It is a decent place for seafood but nothing to remember as an amazing night.  I would pass in the end.
