Don?t get me wrong, the food was great. But we were there for 41 minutes (an average dining time) and our table was checked on... FOURTEEN times. We could hardly get a word in with our own family because of the constant interruptions. Again, the food wasgreat! But if the waitstaff could just be a little more conscious of the rest of the staff and how often they?ve been at a tablealready, that would make it five stars!! Read more
Im not exactly what you would call a reviewer....but as I sit here getting ready to hit the twisties, I have to ask myself, can... I simply go about my day, racing various locals and non locals alike defying the laws of physics with the high risk andsuch...bla bla you know the rest and NOT leave review? This was hands down the BEST breakfast place I've ever eaten at. Weshowed up around 930am on a Tuesday and was seated immediately. As we waited a few mins for our other friend, several staffapproached us ensuring we had everything we needed. All 3 of us ordered the brisket hash, added side of gravy and I added onepancake....altho I'm really more of a french toast kinda girl...oh and I asked for light onions on mine vs whatever amount comesautomatically. They brought out the food as it was completed. We all scrambled our eggs and they were literally cookedperfect....not dry but not runny...hard to do, Idc who you are...eggs were placed over EXTREMELY tender CHUNKS of the mostdelicious flavor brisket I'VE EVER HAD!! The onions were sliced thin which I loved and grilled all over a bed of hasbrowns. Solet me tell you about these hasbrowns. They were hot, crispy, flavorful, and not to sound like the limited vocabulary type, theBEST hashbrowns...I'VE EVER HAD!! I'm not a biscuit or really bread type but I opted for the biscuit anyways and all things holyand right, Jesus took that wheel. Even the gravy was made just like your meemaw used to make it. Flour based with cream.Perfection ????. Found this gem looking for a good breakfast this morning. The Sawmill Place did not disappoint. Not gonna lie, it was packed ... and the wait was nearly an hour. What I noticed while waiting was the efficiency and friendliness of the staff. Every employeewas pitching in as needed while the owner kept things running smoothly. Everything we ordered was delicious and our order camefast. Owner stated that October is their busiest month and there is always a wait. Again, totally worth it! Read more

One of the best meals I've ever had! Hashbrowns were just the right amount of crispy. Sausage was tasty. Toast was perfect. The... eggs were something special. I've had farm fresh plenty of times before but these were simply better tasting eggs than most anyI've ever had! I got mine scrambled with American cheese which was awesome, but I also tried my wife's over easy (which Itypically don't even like) and was blown away! Even the yolk has a savoriness to it. Last was got a side of french toast whichwas equally good, it came with powdered sugar and the syrup was delicious. Service was impeccable, they kept our teas full andthe order came out quick. It's a cute log cabin farmhouse type atmosphere, and there's a general store attached cracker barrelstyle. We got some of the hot sauce because it was really good on the eggs.
