Mediocre food at best. Brisket is dry and hard. Pulled pork is decent, but not great. The food is expensive for the lack of... quality. The sauces and beans are good though. BBQ place with no fries as sides is peculiar to me. Owners typically seemmiserable and don?t seem to care that you are supporting their small business. Not a smile, not a thank you, barely even anacknowledgment of your order before they turn around and face the wall until your order is ready and then quick throw it on thecounter and walk away. All in all, I hate to admit it, but Mission BBQ trumps this place in service and quality of food, and Itypically try my hardest to not support chains. Read more

Ermehgerd!!!! I am new to this area and stumbled across this place on a whim and man, am I glad I did. I am a diehard BBQ fan... and have lived and traveled all over the States. I have relatives in NC, Saint Louis, TN, and Texas. I just stopped in to grab amenu out of interest and the place smelled so good that I ended-up ordering lunch. I got the ?burnt pork ends,? slaw, andMexican Street corn. When I got home, the fun began. I LOVE burnt/caramelized anything (especially brisket-ends), and thesechunks of pork delivered. They had all of the flavor, but still just fell apart in my mouth. The slaw was great?it tasted likehomemade?and what they did with the Mexican corn was interesting. I was expecting lone of those charred ears of corn slatheredin butter and cheese that I love so much. What I got, though, was a dish of kernels seasoned with all of those things, plustomatoes. It was really good. Although the meat was already sauced and great by itself, I also took home some of theirapple-bourbon sauce (AMAZING) and some of their Alabama white sauce.
