Excellent ice cream and friendly staff. BUT I?m not going to continue giving my business to restaurants that add a service fee... to customers that pay with a credit card. Why are businesses doing this?! Have credit card companies raised what they chargemerchants? I?m guessing they haven?t. It?s just a new trend, similar to pre-tipping at the counter when ordering before you?veeven tasted your food or seen how the service is. Read more
I visited Chocolate Moose on S Walnut St on Wed Jul 13 at about 2pm. I bought a blizzard with homemade chocolate ice cream and... Oreo stir-in. I liked the blizzard, and I like Chocolate Moose, but I have two criticisms: First, I did not know where to park.The sign (photo attached) in the parking lot only allows parking for the Chocolate Moose at 4pm - 12am. But, according to AppleMaps, Chocolate Moose opens at 11am. So where do you park at 11am - 4pm? The old building had better parking. Second, theblizzard cost $7.29. I thought that this was a little expensive. But inflation impacts my sense of what price feels fair. Also,this includes a 3.95% service fee for paying by credit card. Worth a 5-10 minute wait. Not many other options around! Plenty of space for seating
besides having the best ice cream around, they are open late while everyone in town closes at 8 or 9pm. in summer you would... think others would stay open later... especially if they saw how busy the moose is after 9pm. super friendly staff, perfectdowntown location! if you haven't been there you really need to!
