My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at White Oak Pastures! We?ve been eating their meats for quite some time and love them.... There?s so much value to knowing where your food comes from. I can?t express my thanks enough for everything they do at WhiteOak. Food truly is medicine! The on-farm restaurant at the general store is a MUST! The bacon is unreal! We drove to White Oak from North Georgia. We stayed at one of their lodges, it was beautiful and plenty of space for my husband,... son and I. We didn?t realize how spread out everything is so make sure to grab a map at the general store and note where all theanimals are that day. We had a 4 wheel drive vehicle so driving around wasn?t a problem, but there is off road driving. Everyoneis very nice, we met Will right when he arrived and he and his wife were very friendly and thanked us for visiting. The food isreally good, highly recommend. We also did the tour, if you are looking for information I definitely would recommend that.Overall we had a great trip, what Mr Harris and his family are doing is so extremely admirable and I wish more farms wouldemulate. It was a truly unique experience! The country store and the food was great. The regenerative farming practices are very cool! We... stayed in a nice clean cabin in a beautiful wooded setting. Ordered over $263 products after reading their website about how they raised their animals. The products took 4 days to arrive... (as opposed to 2 days they advertised on their website for Michigan) and everything was completely thawed, and with some evenlost their vacuum and filled with air! That?s not all, the bacon tastes NOTHING like heritage pork we have purchased before. Ittastes the same as cheap supermarket bacon only cost 5 times more! The manager Jenni Harris was very defensive and offered nosolution. I don?t mind spending premium on good quality products, but never waste it on these ones! Jenni Harris, In responseto your comments below, I did tell your associate earlier that everything was thawed, but you came later to the call with anextreme hostile open statement and voice which indicated to me you were not there to listen or solve any problems but to start afight! Hence you didn?t even let me finish what I had to say in the first place before interrupting me and told me it?s notpossible your meat doesn?t taste good! And no, you talked to me for 5 minutes at most, and I was left on the phone waiting forover 10 minutes before you came to the call. You were extremely unprofessional! Love White Oaks Pastures! This is how we should be raising animals the world over. They are truly stewards of the Earth, or at... least their small slice of southern Georgia. Raising healthy animals that make healthier humans all while building new topsoiland sequestering more carbon into the soil than they emit into the environment. You can taste the quality in every bite. And didI mention that their customer service goers above and beyond? It doesn't get much better. White Oaks Pastures is a win-win.
