I've eaten Michelin star meals in Europe and S. America. The meal I had at Rocksteady easily matches any of those. I've also... eaten at you name it celeb chef, Ramsay, Pick, Flay, whoever. The food at Rocksteady exceeds most of the food I've had at anyof those places. That said, this is not a European style fine dining restaurant. If you want to be treated like some plantationowner, or look at some pointlessly ridiculous, status symbol wine menu go somewhere else. If you want to see what Caribbeanfood is like when elevated to world class standards, then this place is for you. Read more
Ordered the jerk chicken salad, which was delicious. My only complaint is that it was advertised as including avocado. Not!... Literally had 3 slivers, about the size of the nail on my pinky finger. The only saving grace for not leaving a completelyterrible review was that it had tons of chicken. Maybe it was because my order was to-go. Either way, do better. Amazing jerk chicken ! Rice was missing some more peas to be called rice and peas lol. Sauce was very good as well. Consider... small portion but it was enough for lunch time. Wanted to see oxtail on the menu… Read more
Delicious food. Ackee on plantain was very good as was the jerk shrimp appetizer. Main courses of oxtail, curry goat, curry... chicken and jerk chicken were all very very good. Dessert was bread pudding which was good but needed some ice cream of whippedcream. Service was good. Will be back Read more
