Irritated!! After hearing good reviews from the people in the city. Finally made it there for date night. Party of 6 was there... along with two parties of two. We waited at the door for about 5 minutes then was asked if we has reservations. Me and the hubbysaid, "no". They sd they were FULL TO CAPACITY?! What a great cafe! We came here to check out the wedding space for a client and we are so excited! So many great places for... photos...and little traffic noice since it is not on a main thoroughfare. That was a wonderful thing to enjoy some lunch andwine and NOT hear tons of traffic. :-) Lunch was delicious and plenty of wine to compliment whatever dish you choose. Food isnot cheap, but it is superbly prepared and oh so delicious (we had the goat cheese balls and blue crab cake)! Was worth a littlesplurge. There are a couple of ?house dogs? to keep you company while you sip your wine. Some chickens wandered by, a lizardand another bird, we think was some kind of pheasant (pictured with the chicken). Touring the Hill Country and came upon this little gem. We were impressed with the beautiful atmosphere, the fresh menu and... great wine list. However, we were surprised when asked if we had reservations. I suppose in such a small town they need topractice crowd control. They squeezed us in and asked for our patience. The temperanillo was great and the burger, which weshared, was cooked perfectly. The Sauerkraut Balls were unique and tasty. When I go to the coast I set my patience on "IslandTime" and will do the same when I return here. Read more
