Do yourself a favor and have a meal here. I don?t eat out much anymore, and this honestly was so good I don?t think anything... will ever compare to it. I had the kebab bowl with hummus on the side, and took a baklava home for dessert. The rich flavors ofthe rice, kafta and hummus all left me with a warm, happy full feeling that I hope to experience again the next time I?m intown. PS: I wish I could have the recipe for the baklava! I?ve been a longtime fan of Mazzah. They have amazing food. Even though they are always super busy, their staff are always... friendly and helpful. However, they recently changed their carry out containers, significantly and obviously reducing theportion size. This is concurrent with prices that have frankly risen to the higher end for the type of food it is. I ordered thechicken shawarma rice bowl and there was barely any chicken on it. After adding the tip for counter service, I was leftsquirming a bit for what I got. I realize running a restaurant is tough, but people still expect a certain level of value afterpaying $17 for a meal. If you change your containers, be consistent with portions - maybe it means dividing the meal into twocontainers. Or utilizing standardized scoops to improve consistency with variable kitchen staff.
