Super delicious! I always enjoy their fish and chips and love the clam chowder. I just wish there were more locations closer to... where I live but you can't win them all. Read more
Love Skippers. We eat there every time we go to Boise. We treat my brother to lunch. He and my husband love the clam chowder but... I dive into the fish. Not greasy, crispy, and flavorful. As long as Skippers is open in Boise we will continue to eat there. Read more
I wish I could rate this higher but I wasn't really impressed. The beer battered fish was good, and the fries weren't bad, but... the tartar sauce was gross. It was super-sweet and tasted nothing like tartar sauce. In fact, it just had a sweet, carroty-likeflavor. It was very disappointing. Tartar sauce is massively important in a fish place. The clam chowder wasn't the best. Infact, Red Robin has this beat hands-down. Way too much potato and not enough clams. Even though the dining room is clean and thepeople are super-nice, the price of the meal was so cost-prohibitive, I won't go back. I paid $16.48 for a kid's meal, clamchowder and coke! That is remarkably high. If they cut the prices by 25% I would feel that the value was there. But they wouldneed decent tartar sauce to get me back. It's a real shame because the niceness of the staff, the cleanliness, the classicalmusic, and the decent fish would have given this a 5-star rating if it didn't cost as much as a steak dinner for one piece offish and some soup! We use to have 'date' Lunch here every day 30 years ago ... happy to say it hasn't changed much! Still great clam strips!!... Excellent guy at the cash register, taking orders... made you FEEL right at home. Glad we made time for it on our visit fromWI. Read more
