Celebrated a birthday here, but won’t be going back. Too expensive for the quality/ small amount of food provided. The meat... and cheese charcuterie board was nothing special, not worth the $45. The calamari was rubbery. Jiggled. The short ribs weresuper thin portions. The sliders were tasty though. We wanted to support local business but sadly the food did not impress. Also, no rosé wine available. Read more

Came here for our anniversary this past Saturday. Nice location, we were greeted at the front door and taken to our outdoor... table which was the back of the restaurant. Very nice server and the layout was also nice. Ordered calamari for appetizer,Charcuterie and Flakie board for dessert...all were nicely done...very fresh. Wine was nice as well. Here are my reasons why Ididn't give 5 stars: - the back of the restaurant wasn't classy enough for that type of restaurant, should have tried better tohide the backs of the other restaurants maybe those artificial ivy hedge wall or lattice with some plants etc. Also needs to beon a deck of some sort, not inexpensive fake grass. They were using a line dividers to close in the area. - the board wassuppose to come with fresh bread. It had crostini bread instead. Sure it was still fresh but we found that wasn't enough forthe amount of toppings so we asked for a little more which they brought out for us but charged us an additional $2; it's notthat much but a little tight considering the prices. They should watch "give them the pickle" :) - We like having a nice dripcoffee or cappuccino with our dessert but they only had expresso. We suggested an Americano but the server said that theydidn't have regular coffee cups (for water), only cappuccino cups. I had to go to Tim Horton's across the street and bring backto my table...this would have been challenging if I was sitting inside. Listen, I'm sure that these are growing pains as theyare new and I hope that the owner takes this criticism constructively. I even invite a response as it would probably support areturn one day to "check up". One suggestion that I have is for the owner to take a trip to London and check out "The SingingChef" for breakfast on the weekend. Wow... the manager is sharp, always moving, checking in with his staff, patrons (didn'tsee this) and all this while he was smiling and laughing...it was a wonderful thing to see. My wife and I went for our 15th anniversary and were really impressed. The atmosphere is casual which is a welcome as you can... go for any occasion or reason. We ordered the meat and cheese charcuterie board as well as the steak board (which was cookedperfectly) complimented with the wine taste sampler. To finish it off we tried the Flakie and coffee for desert. I highlyrecomend this place and will definitely be back. The service was exceptional, ambiance was great and the pricing is well worthit all. Made my 15th anniversary with the wife a memorable time, thank you The Wine Spot Bolton Read more

Was excited to try this new local place as I thought the concept was cool. Bolton really needs more places like this. I love the... look on the outside as well as the inside; it’s got a brick, industrial vibe going. I got the orange sangria and it was areally big glass and tasted delicious. The food has great presentation and was tasted ok. If I may give a few suggestions(reason for my 3 star rating). There is a very strong moldy/stuffy smell that hits you in the face as soon as you open the door,it was kind off putting. Maybe a dehumidifier is the solution, not sure. I would also recommend that the owner put more of aneffort in introducing himself and welcoming guests to the new local business. I did recognize him when I was there as I’veseen him on the restaurant’s social media and news articles. He looked over at our table and just continued on his way. Wewere only one of 3 parties that evening, so I don’t think it would’ve been too inconvenient for a quick intro. I’m notpersonally offended by it, but I just think it would be good for business if that extra effort was made. All in all, this placehas great potential and I will probably give it another try.
