Ordered fish fry meals from home for take out and went in early for a drink at the bar. Smallish place, but packed. Excellent... service and great amaretto sour! Food ready right when they said it would be. Best pickle chips I have ever had, normally hatethe things, and stole 3 of my husband's. Fish was great. Daughter who really doesn't like fish, ate both pieces of cod. My 2yoand 6yo helped me polish off the poor man's. Perch was good, too. Definitely want to go back and try their blackberry bacongrilled cheese. So cool that their sandwich of the month supports local organizations. Read more
I think the bartender and the cook must have just started their lunch when my friend and i walked in. So, shame on us for... interrupting. The bartender greeted us with a mouthful of food and stood in front of us open-mouth chewing for a good minutebefore we just had to tell her what we wanted to drink. Same thing when she took our food order. The cook was out of thekitchen and eating at the bar before the bartender had our food to us. The burgers were very overcooked. When the bartenderasked us how everything was, we told her that the burgers were overcooked; she smiled, nodded and walked away. Couldn't finishthe burgers; too dry to swallow.
