Excellent. All you can eat country food served family style. They start off by bringing a plate of ham biscuits. Then A specific... menu in which the Meats are Fried Chicken and Country Styled Steak. Other dishes brought to the table include salad, mashedpotatoes, green beans, corn, slaw, fried apples, chicken gravy. You can reorder and any of the items as many times as you want.Meal also includes dessert in which you can choose chocolate cake, strawberry short cake, or banana pudding. Great variety of southern classics and the food came out really fast! We went for breakfast at 8:30 am on a Saturday. Since they... open at 8:00 am, the line was wrapped around the building and we probably waited 45 minutes to get in. As we were getting closerto the door, an employee came by to add our names to the list to be seated. We left around 9:45 am and there wasn?t a lineanymore so if you can go a little later in the morning, I?d recommend it to avoid the line. Read more
This place was great. You pay one price like a buffet, but they serve you and bring it to the table family style in bowls. We... went to a similar place once and you sat at big tables with people you didnt know, this one you sit at your own tables. You geteverything on the menu and can get more of anything you want. First they bring you a salad (summer) or soup (winter). Then theybring you a bowl of everything. Drinks and desserts are included. We got the Chocolate Cake (very good but super sweet) andStrawberry Shortcake. They also had Banana Pudding. We only got one serving of everything and left stuffed. It all was verygood. I do have to mention the Fried Chicken was cooked to perfection!! They also do a Breakfast meal on the weekends. We wentmidweek around 1:30 and only waited about 15 min. But if you go on a weekend I would probably make reservations. They do turntables over pretty quickly though. Would definitely go back if I could afford to eat like that, without gaining 100 pounds!! I'm from Florida visiting the area with my most special family. We stopped by for an early dinner. Being our first time eating... at Dan'l Boone Inn, we were very impressed with everything! The Property was easy to get to and very clean. The outside had anold time antique car on display and a beautiful garden area to take photos with family. The inside decor had a warm andinviting home feel to it. The Menu was displayed and it's all you can eat for one price. The way this works is just like abuffet, but you sit and the server brings you the food. The down home country cooking is what I would have expected to be servedon a farmer's table. The food was Yum Gooood! ???? I don't eat a lot, but I surely had to have a second helping of the countrysteak! Each table is set with fine country china plates. From what I can tell, looked like each table had it's own pattern andcolor of dinnerware. The service was impeccable! And surly leave some room for dessert! Read more
