Absolutely amazing place. A bit quaint and inconspicuous, but the ambiance was fantastic, the food delicious, and the wait staff... very pleasant and attentive. The have many traditional French dishes (of course) and specials for each day of the week.Everything was beautifully presented and tasted fantastic. Be aware that this place is not very accessible for those who arephysically disabled, and the only toilet available is a small, cramped, one person bathroom. Read more
Overall this restaurant was disappointing. Every item needed more seasoning and tasted flat. For main courses we ordered. PEI... steamed mussels, Cow Au Vin and Lamb Shank. Our meals were served within minutes of ordering. That tells me everything wasalready fully prepared. The mussels were mealy and broth was lacking flavor. Noodles had a nice bite to them but were bland.Lamb was tender but again tasteless. The bread served was absolutely delicious. Crusty on the outside and soft in the inside. Unfortunately that was the best bite. The appetizers were mixed. The onion soup was nice but the tartar had so much mustardin it that was all you could taste. I decided to come and try this place out as my girlfriend really loves French onion soup. She really liked the soup, but we’re... unsure or un-ready to call it ‘Boston’s Best’. Other dishes we tried were the duck (little on the dry side) and also thescallops (salty). Like many restaurants in Boston very small tables. Service was warm and welcoming!
