Located in the lobby of the Whitney hotel, Peregrine is a good place to enjoy Italian food in a laid-back lounge atmosphere. We... recently came in for a weekday dinner and were surprised to find out that we were the only group at the restaurant. With thesupport of the team behind Juliet, we expected more popularity, and everything from the service to the food seemed prettygood. We started off with the Parmigiano + local honey which were excellent small bites for our drinks. The quality of theimported cheese was certainly good, but it would've been better if they sliced them in smaller chunks. For the small plates, wehad the Catalan tomato bread and the garlic shrimp. Both were good, but nothing stood out in particular. The highlight of themeal was the Peregrine steak. Cooked with Kombu butter, the steak was extremely tender and flavorful. Risotto was a also nicedish to accompany with the steak, but papperdelle was bland and unremarkable. Without any sauce, the pasta was slightly dry, andwe ended up leaving most of it. Read more

Beautiful spot. Intimate bar. Nice staff. Good food. I ate lunch at the bar. Alison was my bartender and she was terrific. She... was helpful, personable and passionate about her work. Very professional. I truly enjoyed my Tuscan Kale Ceasar Salad withJamón. I will definitely swing by again the next time I am in town. Read more

A delightful restaurant with a serene courtyard in the middle of the bustling MGH area. We had dinner on Sunday and ordered the... tomato bread, garlic shrimp & asparagus small plates and the risotto and mussels dishes. My favorites were the asparagus whichwas grilled to perfection with parmesan shavings & spices, and the mussels, which were flavorful, buttery and swimming in richsauce. The service was super-friendly and attentive, and because the servers and kitchen staff earn living wages, the servicewas divided by need instead of by tables. Always smiling and happy to help with more info and recommendations. Read more

Definitely an upscale atmosphere, with lovely decor and an outside courtyard dining area as well. An intimate yet open space,... it’s great for a date, night to catch up with old friends or a business meeting. For a place this fancy, I would’veexpected better quality food - I ordered the Paella di Alghero: The shrimp was overcooked and tough, and there wasn’tanythting special about the flavor of the dish. My other complaint is the slow service and wait time for the food. It tookabout 45 minutes for our food to come out. However, they were very on top of never leaving our water glasses empty which is ahuge plus for me, personally. Great atmosphere and interior design, but would not come again because for the price you pay, thequality of the food wasn’t amazing/worth it. Read more
