Cool family owned dairy, they have a number of packaged store products, souvenirs and meats to purchase in addition to a hot... food kitchen menu (burgers are awesome) and of course ice cream/shakes etc. You can sample the different flavors and there isboth in door and outside seating. There's even a small playground area behind the store for kiddies to enjoy with a beautifulscenic view of farmland, totally recommend checking out Chaney's if you enjoy great food and country style environment. Absolutely love this place. It has a great vibe all the way around. They serve lunch including hamburgers, hot dogs, sandwiches,... chicken sandwiches, and a variety of other items. Plenty of places to sit with an upstairs and downstairs as well as an outdoorarea. It seems you are encouraged to walk around the property and enjoy. The ice cream is fantastic. Our group all triedsomething different and they were all amazing. Love the kids area. Huge slides, swings and things to climb on with a barn thatoverlooks it so you can stay in the shade while you watch your little ones. We'll be back. Read more
Yay homemade icecream! Trip down south took us to Bowling Green KY and Lost River Cave. At end when asking for recommendation... for local food, instantly Chaney's Dairy Barn. Four of us all got icecream. Since I'm the only gluten eater i got the sugarcone. Unless you get the single scoop don't get the cone. Too top heavy and too likely of top scoop to spill or fall over. Wow.Great stuff. But first when you get there the outside is a standard looking barn. Then you get in and are greated by a hugeplaster cow. The fun starts there... they sell food jams salsa standard gifts and... icecream. They give plenty of samples andthere's lots to go through. Wife said single dish was just right to cheat diet with. She got the more creamy Butter pecan. Kidsgot the bourbon crunch for scoop one and then their second scoops were How Now Brownie Cow and Blueberry Cheesecake. I got theBourbon Crunch too and the Black Walnut for second scoop. I had a hard time deciding what would be my second scoop. The BlackWalnut however, blew my gustatory system on its back so I had to get that. The two scoops on the sugar cone looked risky fromthe start so they gave me a safety bowl for drippage. It still made me want to rush through the Black Walnut instead of savoringthe taste but just means I'll go back. I didn't see some of those flavors before so very happy I got those. There's a tour for$4 that shows the milking process. Would have done it but we decided to get back on the road. About 20 minutes. A large playarea too. Read more
