Granted, Red Lobster is not known for seafood, especially fresh seafood but it had been quite some time since we had ate at one.... We walked in and were immediately struck with an offensive odor at the hostess station. I thought it was from the personstanding in front of me. Discovered the smell was still present when I left. The place stinks. I had the fish and chips. Fishwas cold and greasy. The batter was extremely thick. Chips (fries) were bland. The coleslaw tasted like it had gone bad a fewdays prior to our visit. One small taste and we were done with that. On a happy note the ice water and ketchup were actuallypretty good. Service was slow/marginal although the place was pretty much empty. I won't be back. We'll, the food was great, and the restaurant was fine, but or waitress was less than fantastic. The manager kicked in and help... pick up the slack. We were seated well before the table next to us and served well after, they had a different server. We werealso told we would have to go to the bar to get a to go order. The manager corrected this also. I'm sure corrections will bemade. I will still continue to eat there. That waitress will surely learn to do better or move on. Read more
First. I want to say our server, Promise, was top notch. Attentive. Friendly and accessible. Red Lobster in OK. Where I am... from is one of my favorites. This wasn't even close to the quality. Salads had Romaine spines and very few leaves and thesalad dressing was OK. Baked potato was very small, but good. The shrimp was undercooked and the breading was doughy. Ourserver got it replaced and said we should ask for extra crispy next time. There was no crispy at serving so extra crispy shouldhave not been an option. How about not doughy??? Read more
