05/21/2022: Dinner for 2 @Saturday evening. Service was prompt & courteous as usual. We enjoyed the Fried Pickle appe, Ahi Wrap... (Wasabi was just enough!) and a California BLT with a Yuengling. I?ll say service was 5 star. The meal was maybe 2. I?m disappointed. I had heard good things about Windward Tavern for some... time now and have been meaning to visit. The onion soup tasted of salt - that?s it - just salt. There were maybe two pieces ofonion in there. I ordered the 14 oz NY strip. Said medium rare to medium. It came out medium well to well done. Cut into it andit was dry as a bone and tasteless. I topped it with the butter from the bread basket, it didn?t help. I?m not big on steaksauces, but covered this in it to get enough moisture to eat it without choking. I had hoped for better in a local restaurantwith so many rave reviews. Read more
