Menu for Big Meadow Brewing Company in Bridgeport, CA

The joint is comfortable and the staff are friendly, but I figure a brewpub should have good beer and this one does not. I?ve... been to hundreds of them on 4 continents and this one ranks well within the bottom 10%. Bland, thin, tasteless beers; the onlygood point was that none were obviously remnants of attempts that went bad (which I have been served at some pubs). So my boyfriend and I came to Bridgeport after a day drive to dardanelle resort...I brought my service dog with me ( social... anxiety, panic attacks and heart condition) is what shes trained to alert for, I saw the no dogs sign and ignored it becauseshe is a trained and papered service animal. Gentleman behind the bar immediately asked is that a service dog. I said yes hesaid I need a card or something, my bf than said we don't have to provide you with that ( I didn't have it on me anyway becauseagain this was a not planned out trip over the pass.) He than kept insisting we show proof, THIS IS ILLEGAL SIR. My service dogwas being very patient while this guy and my bf went back and forth, than I started getting the chills and sweaty and clamy,,the panic attack was coming on and my dog alerted. I said I have to leave you're already trigging me and making meuncomfortable. mind you everyone in the bar was quiet and freaking starring which made it 10xs worse for me!! Checked my heartrate in the car it was at 140bpm. My service dog did he job and got it back to the regular 85bpm. After a few minutes and meneeding to calm down we went next door to Bridgeport Inn! They were fabulous ???? didn't ask the illegal questions and evenprovided my angel some water! I WILL never go to this place again and I am considering legal action. Just stopped in to grab a beer and chill for a few. Nice staff. Good little selection of brews. I had a perfectly serviceable... pale ale. My wife had a barrel aged red that she liked. There's a little restaurant on site. We didn't eat but the menu lookedpretty tasty and a couple of plates of food I saw looked delicious. Read more

Amazing beer and even more amazing people! We stopped here on our Sunday drive from Yosemite to Tahoe. While they had just... closed for the day, it did not stop them from graciously pouring us a delicious beverage. We will definitely be making a return. Read more
