I ordered the Salmon with vegetables and I loved it. Service was good too. I haven't tried any drinks yet here. Maybe next time.
Very friendly server who was helpful in helping me explain the menu to my companion (who mainly spoke Spanish). Tasty food in... generous portions. Clean, cozy space, and not crowded when we went (5:30 p.m. on a Friday). The sound of singing from their barnext door was hilarious. It's great that they have it separate, that way it's just a fun hint of atmosphere. Read more
Very, very scrumptious dinner experience. Flaming Chorizzo started it off. The kids got chicken meals that made me second guess... my Filet meal, the chicken was so good. Lovely waitress and staff made us feel like we were family. Would definitely come hereagain next time we visit CT. Read more
My husband and I love Portuguese food. Saturday night, we decided to go to Bridgeport and have dinner at Omanel Restaurant. From... the moment we walked in the door, we were made to feel welcome. Lisa, our server was exceptionally welcoming and competent. Thefood was authentic, perfectly cooked, fresh and tasty. We liked everything we ordered. We both had Ameijoas a Bulhao de Pato asan appetizer. What a delight! The Portuguese bread they gave us was perfect to soak up every bit of the garlicky sauce they werecooked in. Much to my surprise, the sauce had cilantro; I always expect Portuguese food to have parsley instead of cilantro. Itwas good, however, and definitely not overwhelming. My husband had grilled balcalhau with potatoes and vegetables on the side. Iordered one of the specials, which consisted of a variety of seafood in a tomato sauce. It came with white rice on the side. Weshared a flan and had espresso for the perfect ending to this delicious meal. The portions were big. The ambiance waspleasant.
