Apparently it's only a good place to eat if you dine in. To make a long story short, my husband and I ordered dinner to go a... couple times. Both times our food was not how we ordered it. I called to let them know and was sent a gift card each time. Thecards weren't for much but at least they made an effort. After a few months we decided to give them another try. Unfortunatelywe were disappointed again. To give them credit, our spaghetti was pretty good but our salads were literally all lettuce with 2tiny chunks of cucumber and 1 cherry tomato cut in half. They left out the other toppings we ordered. Needless to say, this willbe our last time ordering from Oliverios. Read more
Really good Italian cuisine. Would have given 5 stars if the pasta had been homemade. Sauces, bread and meatballs delicious!
While in the Morgantown WV area I had lunch at Oliverio's in Bridgeport. The restaurant was extremely lovely. I was seated... immediately and my waiter was extremely nice. I ordered Meatballs with Ricotta Cheese and Fresh Basil and Marinara Sauce. Ialso ordered a cup of Onion Soup with Homemade Garlic Breadsticks and Half/Half Tea with Lemon. The food was amazing! I ate here for the very first time today after years of hearing about how good it is. Maybe my expectations were too high? Not... sure. I do want to say that the service was great and the staff interaction was too. That rates as a FIVE STAR. The food thoughwas disappointing somewhat. Not terrible but not outstanding. No one at our table was blown away by our meals. The house saladis pretty good as is the bread. But the marinara was just ok. My vegetables were not fresh and had the taste and appearance of afrozen bagged selection. No one completely finished their meals. And the desserts were all pretty generic too. So maybe it wasjust us. Maybe it was a bad day? I don’t really know and I’m confused reading all of these other reviews. I definitelythink some things could be improved but I want to state again the service was great and hopefully this was just an off day butthat broccoli, cauliflower, carrot medley was like something not befitting a restaurant of this reputation. If I’m back thisway I might try again someday but I would go a completely different direction on my meal and what I got. The restaurant alsodoes have a nice atmosphere and charm to it as well.
