Absolutely terrific clam chowder - best we've tried so far anywhere. Really good burger, our 10 yo couldn't stop eating and... almost finished it :) I loved fish and chips - tasty, almost unbreakable crust and flaky and flavorful fish inside. Huge portionBTW. Zesty tartar sauce. Loved it all. Also I took a smoked pineapple sour cocktail - really good, recommended! The only thingwe didn't appreciate much was stuffed quahogs. But that's probably just us , since we've decided to try it for the firsttime. It looks like they are understaffed still - the service was quite a bit slow , despite the fact there were tablesavailable. My husband and I had a nice night at the Waterside Bar and Grill last night. The staff was not overly friendly but efficient.... The food was good but not great. Parking was limited but we were lucky and found a spot. My lobster roll was good, however myhusband's shrimp scampi could have used a little more garlic and for $37 maybe a few more pieces of shrimp. However the view wasfabulous, that is what you're paying for and we were there at sunset. Overall, it was a nice way to end our 26th weddinganniversary. Read more
I picked the restaurant so that we could have a lovely sunset dinner. The location more than delivered. Not only did we get a... great sunset, but we had a real show as a thunder storm blew in. The covered patio offered a dry place, even during the storm,with open sides for a nice breeze after a hot day. Sarah was out delightful server. She has great recommendations for drinksand dinner as well as giving us this on where to go for breakfast the next day. The baked haddock was very tasty and cookedperfectly. Beautiful waterfront location at the mouth of Bristol harbor. We sat on the patio for lunch and both had burgers. My wife had... the Swiss & mushroom burger. Although not mentioned on the menu, it came flooded with some kind of sauce which she said drownedout the flavor of the swiss & mushroom. She ended up scraping it off. I had the Bourbon BBQ burger and I would say it wasperfect. The cook on both burgers was dead on (hers medium; mine medium-rare). My cheddar-bacon-BBQ burger was delicious. Weboth started with the clam chowder. I have clam chowder to start at almost every restaurant that offers it. I have to say thechowder here was among the best I've had anywhere. Beautiful location. Chicken Caesar wrap had good flavor but chicken was dry. Husband said his burger was good but didn't like... the bun. Too many fries (personal preference). Waitress seemed to forget about us. Only got one soda refill (tons of ice in theglass so probably only 8oz or less of soda) and had to get up to pay after waiting for the bill. If we lived here we might tryagain as everyone has an off day, but we live 27 hours away so won't be back. Read more
