We've been going here for awhile and it was always a 5, but something has changed. The food is not up to par like it use to be,... service has taken a nosedive and it's just not the same period. Also, last couple of times we ordered queso, it's just reallythin, little thicker than cream. Charro beans are never consistent. They are either so hot, can't hardly eat them or needing alittle seasoning. Too bad bc that was our go to place but it's been like this last 3 times we were in. Now we have to findsomewhere else. Wife is allergic to capsaicin (the spice in peppers like jalapeno and cayenne). Before we even got to truly order we found out... that just about everything has some kind of pepper in it. I understand it's a Mexican restaurant and there is spice in a lot ofMexican food. But there is also a lot of Mexican food that does not have peppers in it. We couldn't even order a ground beefchimichanga because they put jalapenos in all of their ground beef and refried beans. So we just left and will never be comingback. Read more

Went there on taco night. $1 Street tacos were decent, and a good value... Basically what one would get from a taco truck. I had... to wait forever for a table (15 minutes.. No sitting room). Servers were pretty brisk with me, but that could in part be due tomy going in at 8pm after a long day. The Salsa from the chips and salsa was delicious! Pic of street tacos included Read more

I ordered the 3 Tamale Dinner. We walked into a cozy little, quaint corridor, and then corralled into a semi-clean room, with... probably 30 people. The staff seemed really great, professional, pleasant, alert, attentive, and courteous. Then the other shoeseems to drop when you?re served the food. To say the flavor of the food is ?underwhelming?, would be a complete understatement. The rice, while looked delicious, and flavorful was the complete opposite; rather, bland, flavorless, the consistency of eatinga Lego. Then, the fork is introduced into the beans that looked like the way you?d dream of them to look. You bring your fork toyour mouth to only find that while you can feel something on your tongue, you won?t be able to taste anything in your mouth.Unfortunately, the sides are something to be desired. No one in the kitchen has tasted that rice, or the beans, they?re much, much too bland. However, one item will save the day: the three tamales warm, tender, cheesy, perfectly cooked, juicy pork, notfatty, perfectly flavorful! While you may not fill up on what could have been delicious, and edible sides, with a good entree, turned into sides with no flavor, and an entre that rose to the challenge. Not an excellent experience: I?ll give this place a?2?. Read more
