Went to Ajo y Orégano during the happy hour (drinks half off). The decor is super cute! The staff is super charismatic and all... passed by our table to make sure we were having a good time. The downside is that the food is just average. It was lovely havinga (mostly) traditional Dominican menu, but some things were just under salted or underseasoned over all. Would come back againin case this was just an off day in the kitchen. Read more

By far the best Dominican restaurant in the NYC area. The food is amazing, the service always on point and the decor is just... beautiful. Our server Frank was on top of everything and made our dinner even more enjoyable. Omar the bartender really knowshow to throw a great drink. The prices are great for the quality of the food and the portions you get. Overall great diningexperience every time. Read more

This place is definitely more hyped up than it needs to be. From pictures to IG post the place looks really big and like a good... time. Honestly it is not all that big and for you to dine in on a Saturday they close extremely early so everything feels rushedby the end of the night. They didn’t offer us water even though it’s tap, they give you bottle watered that you have to payfor. The table was set but we didn’t have no utensils. We received our appetizers and had to ask for utensils. When wereceived the entrees two of the dishes had someone’s hair in it. The chili sliders with beef were not all that it tastedreally dry. They should consider having some type of sauce on the side for it. The fogoncitos are definitely recommended. Theshrimp in the white sauce was not all that, it tasted more like heavy cream and butter than anything else. The food here is goodif you want standard Spanish food but what makes it a bit more hype is the presentation of the food. This place could be betterif they had more space and managed it better. Maybe they should make a location in dyckman it would definitely be better giventhe setting of different Spanish restaurants. Read more

I would have to say for the price point the food is very good and the service was great! This restaurant treats its customers... very good! The portions are huge so hope you have a appetite!! I wouldn’t know we’re to start in recommending any inparticular dish because all the food there is excellent and it taste so rich and seasoned very well. The drinks were great, theybring them in this old style tin cups, that brings back memories when I was a child, very nostalgic for anyone who grew up in aLatin family or the Caribbean!! Only left to say is go try it out.. sometimes there’s a little wait the place isn’t that bigbut it’s worth the wait, enjoy!!! ???????????????????????????????????????? Read more
