Excellent food, but it wait time was 2 hours. But all in all I would say it was worth the wait.
Excellent food. I love dining out and this restaurant did not disappoint. Definitely will be coming back and spreading the... word. For my dish I enjoyed the Weekend in Bocachica and it was amazing! I honestly dislike ordering fried fish in the statesbecause it just never tastes like the fried fish you enjoy by the beach in Dominican Republic but this, this was really close toit. Deliciously paired with the shrimp mofongo, it?s a dish you can definitely see yourself craving. Other dishes i tried werethe sample platter and the Lobsterfongo - both really great as well. Had an amazing experience here! The ambiance is nice, the drinks are great and the food is delicious! Enjoyed everything on the... platter! The lobster fongo was something I've never seen anywhere else! The red snapper stuffed with shrimp mofongo????????????! (Dining inside is a little loud but I didn't mind. (UNACCEPTABLE) & 1 HOUR AND 15 mints for the FOOD to COME ( Are you SERIOUS?) Weekend inBoca Chica ( THE FISH) not SALT not FLAVOR and OVERCOOKED. Waste my time and money for this. I am usually reasonable when it comes to reviewing restaurants , but for it being empty and on a Thursday night, the prices do... not match service. Starting off with being asked what do i want, without a menu! And not even a proper introduction on who isserving us. The food would?ve been better if it was brought out hot. Waited about an hour to be asked what to drink andappetizers that we would like. To then waiting about 40 minutes for appetizers and an hour for drinks. Waited another hour toget asked for our main entrees, to then hear that everything has been coming late for my table, while my table was only a partyof 2 including myself. I then was asked for the name Of a drink that is on their menu to then being told that the bartender doesnot know how to make the drink , which was a non alcoholic beverage for one of those hours of waiting. The food came late, andcold. My boyfriend and I kept having to bother other waiters to remind them that we were still waiting for our things, they evencame by to check on us since our own waiter didn?t which was a tall blonde wearing red lipstick. To then she came and complainedabout how she burned herself at another table. Lastly, I asked for a sprite and it took 20 minutes to a point that anotherwaiter came and brought me the sprite.Too many distractions and such a sense of not caring. For a place that includes 18%gratuity , the service should?ve been matched .The one star goes to the restaurant looking aesthetically pleasing with pinkflowers and a cute light up design. Read more
