I don't really have complaints. Service is excellent, food I'd say very good, decent little place. Just keep in mind, they do... not have liquor. Only beer and wine. There homemade wine is nice and sweet though. Read more
I really wanted to love this place because I like supporting local places but unfortunately the food was just not very good. The... staff was very courteous and nice! But the food wasn't....ordered mussels and they smelled a little fishy; lasagna was alrightbut there was too much tomato sauce and not enough dough layers, and the meat in the lasagna wasn't too great; the potatocroquettes were dry. Ive been eating at this place off and on for years. Since they were at their other location between East 21st and East 22nd.... And they had the best chicken Parmesan hero I had ever tasted. But not anymore. I just ordered 2 Parmesan heroes from them. Parmesan usually has mozzarella cheese. The sandwiches had almost no cheese at all on them. And the sauce was very bland andtasted old. . Wonderful meal! I recently stopped in at Anthony's Place for the first time on a rainy night, looking for some comfort food. The... stuffed artichoke appetizer was absolutely delicious as was the rest of my dinner, further enhanced by the friendly service andwarmth of the fireplace.
