Expected a lot more from such a highly priced spot. Food left a lot to be desired- chicken and pork was super dry and salmon was... overcooked. We had one piece of the Tonkatsu which was $40- something I’ve had 10x better for much less. When asked by theserver if we were happy with the meal, nothing was done to attempt to improve the situation even though over 75% of the meal wasuntouched. Probably a better place for cocktails than anything else- left hungry and disappointed after spending $150 on a meal. Not planning to be back. Read more

Decent food, good drinks - our host conor was amazing though! Got the hamachi (great), karage (nothing special), clams (good),... and snapper (good) and a couple of drinks. The decor/vibe is awesome but the food lacked something - especially the karage. Read more

Would not go for dinner. 6 of the 7 pages are whiskeys and cocktails, just one small page of food. The plates were too small... even as shared plates. Two stars because the food was tasty but I’d tell my friends to avoid. I love Walters (the mainrestaurant in front) but honestly this place in the back should close and be used for something else. When we ordered the sweetpotato it was just a baked sweet potato in foil I could have cooked at home. Our group was four people and we stopped after 4dishes because there weren’t other things on the menu that we wanted. Need to expand the menu and have some more appealinglarger plates for me to come back. Read more

More of a Japanese themed speakeasy bistro than an izakaya. The ambiance is nice, with its tiny space it certainly looks... beautiful and sophisticated. Yet the food menu is very small, if you are here for food or come hungry, you might be a bitdisappointed on the options provided. Read more
