Came to New York for a wedding and were staying in Brooklyn. Meet friends from Queens who pick this restaurant. Very nice... restaurant with a very good menu and extremely reasonable prices. Service definitely lacks, maybe due to shortstaffing. Started with a Margherita pizza, tomato, mozzarella, and basil that looked more like a flatbread, very good. Mywife ordered for 2 appetizers, Melanzana Pisana, breaded eggplant, heirloom tomatoes, bufala mozzarella, baby arugula, oil andbalsamic. Also Capesante, seared bay sea scallops, pea and pepper puree, smoked porcini mushroom, and crispy prosciutto. Bothwere great. I tried the Grigliata Mista, grilled calamari, octopus, shrimp, swordfish, extra virgin olive oil, and lemon.Superb and a large portion. For dessert, we have the Bomba and Affogato, both were superb. I truly recommend La NonnaRistorante & Bar and if they solve the staffing problem, it would be a 5 * restaurant. Read more
