I would describe Oxomoco as an upscale, Mexican fusion, tapas style restaurant that's perfect for light eaters. What I... liked: Although the dining area is a little loud, the ambiance is nice and the staff is really friendly. The flavors are bright, tasty and pretty unique. The heirloom corn tortillas are also quite nice. The bathrooms are a fun, almost silly, experience inand of themselves. It's like using the toilet in the middle of a psychiatric planetarium hosting a disco rave. What I didn'tlike: I really wouldn't call the "salsa" salsa per say. It's really more like an assortment of moles and hot sauces than salsa.A few of them were pretty good but I prefer more traditional salsa. This is a picky preference so take it with a grain ofsalt. Probably my biggest con is the portion sizes and that there's really not much hardiness to be had generally. I realizethat's generally the nature of tapas but offering sides with some hardiness would be nice. We were told that the chicken dish isheavier but that it would be better to try during a revisit so we could try a variation of flavors. I'm sure this was soundadvice but I still had to stop for a pizza slice on our way back so I could feel satiated. Overall Oxomoco is good but maybenot my personal dig enough to call it great. Beautiful restaurant. Good food and service, the staff is really nice. Small portions and hard to make a reservation due to... popularity. I also feel like the Michelin star status isn’t really deserved. Definitely Michelin guide worthy but Michelinstar is questionable. The food is good but you can get better tacos/latin food deeper into Brooklyn and in Queens. Read more

Amazing place ! The food and drinks were so good ! It definitely tastes like Mexican food but some of the dishes have a twist.... This place was super crowded and I strongly recommend having a reservation. The service is good and fast. The waitress was goodand helpful. The place is fine. The thing that shines above everything is the amazing and delicious food. We tried at least 6different cocktails and all of them were amazing. Specially for these summer days. Their frozen margaritas are huge. Myfavorite was the raw tuna tostada with the salsa macha. You can even buy extra sauce and take it back to your place ! The tacowas good and with good flavor but it was too expensive for what it is. I strongly recommend this restaurant and you should comewith an empty. Read more

Came in with high expectations and left very satisfied. Hailing from Texas, our Mexican restaurants set a high bar. Don’t... miss the popcorn. Honestly the favorite of the night and didn’t see that coming. Corn tlayuda was great. Pass on the caviartuna tartare. Saw people raving about the Caesar salad. It’s okay. Interesting, but I’d leave it at okay. All in all, solid place. Super robust flavors all around. Presentation lacks but whatever. Not sure I’ll be back but glad I went. Read more
