This inviting restaurant had an amazing vibe. The waiters were attentive and Haitian music played in the background. This... restaurant utilized their small space well. I felt outdoor seating was done perfectly. No matter where you sat, you would besure to feel like you're taking in the culture wuth the decor. The owner made it a point to come out to greet us on our firstvisit. The Menu is limited, but what they had, they did it well. The food presentation was superb. There was a bit of a wait,but great food definitely made up for it along with service. The Paté Korde is a must try along with macaroni au gratin. Thisplace is a must try!!!! This place does not serve drinks with alcohol as of yet. owner updates they are awaiting their liquorlicense. This spot is BYOB. But they have lovely juice drinks, get a pitcher! The food is tasty, on the spicy side but filled with lots... of flavor & I love spicy food. The service was pretty good and the ambiance is gives artistic island vibes. Read more
First, I have to say, this was my first time at Zanmi's and eating Haitian food. Both were outstanding and I will be back again.... As other post wrote "This is a diamond in the rough". The staff was very courteous, the atmosphere was great, the music wascatchy, and to top it off the food was outstanding. This is a great date spot or bring the whole family. We started out with amocktail (Daybreeze & Virgin Mojito). They both were tasty but not to sweet. We ordered the Griot Sliders. The pork was tenderand the slaw had just the right amount of spice. The blend if flavor was wow. We each had the DjonDjon Box (one Chicken & oneShrimp). The rice with protein and the stewed tomatoes was a delicious combination. Topped it off with a delicious piece ofCarrot Cake (highly recommend) and a cup of coffee. The rainbow was an added bonus to an outstanding night. I never take the time to come back and make reviews but this place was so worth the trouble. Very authentic flavorful... restaurant. The service was amazing, with servers so attentive and friendly. I went there for dinner and got the appetizer friedokra, perfectly coated and salted. I then had there ginger lemon tea which was already sweetened and usually I don’t like mytea sweetened but the subtlety of the flavor made it perfect with the hint of sweetness. For my entree I had the vegan rice andvegetable stew. I am a picky plant based eater and I had no complaints the vegetables were seasoned to perfection and cooked tojust the right temperature. I honestly would truly rate this place a 10/10 experience and can not wait to go back and try moredishes. Read more
