Quite possibly the best fried chicken sandwich I’ve ever eaten. The batter was crispy and perfectly seasoned, and the pickles... were excellent. The fries were tasty and fresh. The double bacon burger was also very good. The service was kind and helpful. Asanother reviewer said, the tap water wasn’t great, but I’m not going to hold that against them. We were just passingthrough, and it was definitely worth the detour! We almost didn’t stop because the website said closed on Mondays, butthankfully we called and confirmed it was open for lunch. Food was delicious and portion sizes were large. Good prices and love that they had a good kids menu.
The wife and I had the smoked ribeye,we weren't impressed. It wasn't smoked,merely smothered in some sort of sauce that tasted... kinda smoky. No need to smother everything with some sort of sauce unless you're covering up the cooks shortcomings. Read more

I discovered this hidden gem while working in Brookneal on a project. It was love at first bite! The food and atmosphere was so... good that I ate there every day we were in town, 8 days total, and EVERYTHING was delicious. The food is made with fresh highquality ingredients, flavorful sauces & spices, & cooked with love. If you have a few people you Have To try the Southern FriedEgg Rolls! Their Mac n cheese is made with a homemade Bechamel sauce that is incredible. The smoked brisket and pork bbq wasdelicious and tender, the fried fish sandwich has a breading that's incredible- some of the juiciest most tender fish I've everhad. I also recommend the honey garlic smoked chicken wings and the fried green tomatoes are a treat you can't get often.Perfect for a quick lunch or dinner with friends. You won't be disappointed!
