Amazing! I ordered the Gyro and it was incredible! The fries weren't too crispy and the meat was really tender! I had a sweet... iced tea and while being really sweet, it was ice cold and didn't taste like Lipton! The service is amazing and the waitress isextremely nice! I love hidden gems like this. It was fairly cheap and one of the best restaurants I've ever been to! Read more

We stop for lunch in the small Patomic town of Brunswick at the Potomac River Cafe expecting maybe a sandwich or burger. Was... amazed rather we instead found really great Syrian food. First the rice was just wonderful like you would find in Damascus withall the strong flavors from there. Maqluba a Syrian dish served throughout the Levant. What mine was made of was fried eggplantthis was placed in a pot which is flipped upside down when served, hence the name maqluba, which translates literally as"upside-down." The dish goes back centuries and is found in the Kitab al-Tabikh, a collection of 13th century recipes. Againwhat a shock to find this in Brunswick, Maryland. Moussaka is a casserole with ground beef and eggplant playing the main roles. The eggplant was fried and cooked in a tomato sauce. Aside from the traditional eggplant version, there is in my experience inthe USA a slew of other versions with potatoes. This one just was just like I ate in the Middle East and was withoutpotatoes?-YES!! Read more

The food was OK. 3 stars being average. The service was above average and the waiter was friendly. I ordered the lamb Shwarma... platter and it was plain with average proportion. Not bad per say and I'm not opposed to going back if I was part of a group andthey insisted on going. Read more

Quaint restaurant with small outdoor dining area. We got the sampler appetizer with hummus, Baba ghanoush and vegetarian grape... leaves. All of it was good but the pita was awesome and the grape leaves were the best vegetarian ones we?ve ever had. (Andwe?ve had a lot) The lamb Shawarma wrap was good but we recommend asking for a side of tzatziki. The Gyro was your typical GreekGyro but good overall. The falafel wrap was tasty but had a little more tahini than necessary for my taste. I would preferredtzatziki and maybe some feta in the falafel And I?m sure you could ask for it. The Pesto mozzarella Panini was delicious andeveryone loved the seasoned rice as a side. Read more

Had an outstanding dinner as I cycled from Pittsburgh to DC with friends. Great fusion of Middle Eastern with Americana, but... only as an accent. Cream of asparagus soup is to die for. Great shrimp scampi. Decent beer selection. Read more
