Traveled to Buchanan for a Sunflower Festival and decided to try a local restaurant. We chose Foot of the Mountain and we are... SOOOOO GLAD we did! Don?t let the appearance on the outside fool you! The menu was amazing and we could tell that we pickedthe right spot for lunch. The service as excellent. Wait staff was every polite, and the food!!!!!! It was all delicious and wewill definitely be back when we are in the area. Good work guys! The food is amazing! My husband and I stopped here after visiting Virginia Safari and we are definitely coming back! The... hospitality is outstanding, the owner is friendly and kind! The food is made with love, you can just taste the freshness aswell! I will say I even liked the healthy options of gluten free buns and black bean burgers for someone like myself whostruggles with digesting. We had our wedding reception at Foot of the Mountain Cafe on October 1st 2022. Since we live in North Carolina, all of our... coordination was done remotely with the exception of a few in-person meetings with Brian. The week prior to our wedding they hada huge issue with the restaurant being closed down, but Brian and the landlord worked diligently to be sure they were open intime for our reception. I cannot say enough good things about Brian and his staff! They were incredibly accommodating, theservice was impeccable, and the food was amazing. Because we only had about 35 people, we were able to order directly off themenu so everyone could choose what they wanted. My son and his wife are vegans and Brian was even able to provide them with adelicious vegan dinner option. Even though it was in the middle of Hurricane Ian, we were able to use the outdoor patio whichwas enclosed with heaters. Working with Brian was a dream and I would highly recommend using him and his restaurant to host yourevent! Read more
