10/21/2022 Friday lunch Waitress Kimberly is awesome. Food is so good and so much! Had the Lobster Roll, flight of beer and... individual pours, Baguette Bahn Mi, Hamburger, Pork Pie, Chowder, flight of beer - loved it all !! Fresh food ! Ordered a loafof bread to go. Everything was absolutely delicious. Be prepared to come and spend several hours. All of the food is made byhand, "from the ground up". You can't rush perfection. Nothing is small. #Recommended #VickieTravelz Read more

Best lobster roll we tried in Maine, and we had about 5 - big chunks of claw meat instead of shreds and served in a house baked... brioche bun. Deserts were outstanding. Nice beer flight. Read more

This was such an incredible meal. DO NOT BE DETERRED BY THE ATMOSPHERE. What this place lacks in welcoming staff and atmosphere... it 100% redeems itself with the food and beer. I was immediately turned off by this place due to the decorations, religiousthemes and staff. However after a few min of settling in and understanding the waitresses humor, I warmed up quite a bit. Iordered the seafood chowder and my boyfriend got the lobster roll. Holy monastery were these both incredible. Brother dongreeted us and chatted pleasantly as we finished our meal. We are really touched by the homeyness and charm that we left afterenjoying this place for an early lunch. Definitely a highlight and DO go out of your way to enjoy this food. Obey the rules anddon?t make any substitutes to your order. They know what?s best for you. Read more

Here's the deal with Friar's Brewhouse - it's a FANTASTIC spot for lunch in Bucksport that takes itself sorta seriously and... honestly you should, too. The beer: great. The food: great. The portions? Enormous. The service: friendly and efficient. Like alot of Maine the whole place has a "we're tired of dealing with tourists" vibe and honestly who can blame them but if you GoldenRule it like you always should then the gruffness melts away like the cheese on the macaroni noodles they serve in portionslarge enough to feed 3 adults (or one if you sit at my table). Super fun and delicious. And DON'T SLEEP ON THE WHOOPIE PIES Read more
