One of my favorite places to grab a sandwich and coffee, but today unfortunately I am unimpressed by the customer service. I... ordered 2 coffees and 2 sandwiches and while we received our coffees (which were delicious) we had to wait 45 minutes for oursandwiches. I understand it was busy and people make mistakes, but when we inquired to see if something happened the young ladywith blonde hair was not only unfriendly, she made it seem like I made a mistake when ordering. It was only when the person whotook our order spoke up for us and remembered we ordered sandwiches with our coffee, it was only them that she believed us.After that interaction, she seemed to avoid us although we were pleasant and patient. I live 30 minutes away and the breakfast sandwich i got was still warm, and it was delicious. The candied sweet potato latte was... amazing as well, I was very pleasantly surprised. It was my first time coming, I?ll definitely come back soon, worth the hourdrive :) Read more
I had been meaning to check out this charming little café in the neighborhood for a long time, and finally went and was not... disappointed. I ordered a beer (Genny beer $3) and one of their cookies. I had the White Chocolate oatmeal cookie ($2.50). Itwas very good! My friend got the roast beef hoagie which came with chips. I tried a bite of it and though it was a little messyof a sandwich, it was yummy. I?m not a coffee drinker so though they are a coffee shop, I can?t speak to those options butprices were very reasonable for everything on the menu. Small cafe right on the five points off of Utica st. There is limited indoor seating but wasn?t too busy with the snow storm... that just hit Western NY. The menu only has two breakfast options. There are various different croissants and scones bakes but Iended up ordering the breakfast sandwich with bacon and garlic aioli sauce. It seems strange the bacon and sauce are charged asextra add ons and felt like the amount of sauce was quite stingy. The cortado tasted very good (on the lighter side of mediumroast) but it was served far too warm and milk texture was subpar. The first bite of the breakfast sandwich lacked much flavorso I asked for salt and pepper and immediately brought out the taste. The staff were somewhat friendly. Unfortunately, theydon?t have Wifi so it?s best to find somewhere else if you?re looking for a place to do some work. I tried to find the top cafein the area which listen this as one but found it to be nothing spectacular. It?s probably a decent place in the summer or ifyou just want a drip coffee but I would go somewhere else if you?re looking for breakfast or lunch.
