My husband and I began looking for venues for an intimate summer wedding of 35 people back in January. Our ideals included:... waterfront view, amazing food, and showing up that day with little to no responsibility for decorating or preparations. Wewanted the day to be relaxing and stress-free for ourselves and our families. We were looking for a venue that felt reallyspecial, felt like we were really treating ourselves to a beautiful meal in a beautiful place on the ultimate date-night. Theday of the wedding, the Marina Room was set up beautifully. While my mother did decide to make centerpieces for us, weabsolutely did not have to do that: Templeton’s had elegant minimalist options that would have been perfect. We were permittedto bring in a guitarist who played while guests were arriving and through cocktail hour. We were permitted to play our own musicover our personal speaker, as long as it wasn’t so loud that other restaurant guests were disrupted (no one asked us to turnours down). Jessica was there to help direct everything on the day of. She helped us put together our timeline for the day toinclude all the traditional wedding things - a first dance, cutting our cake (which was beautiful and absolutely delicious), themother-son dance. The servers that evening were stellar - a nice surprise was that the appetizers were passed and not set up ona table like we had thought they would be. The servers never stopped moving - constantly checking in with new food throughoutthe cocktail hour. Once dinner was served, Jessica helped direct guests to serve themselves. Somehow, the food served thatevening wasn’t exactly what we had originally picked to serve, but the guests told us repeatedly how spectacular the food wasand that’s all that mattered to us. After dinner and speeches, Jessica helped us move all our tables to the side and removesome chairs to make a little dance floor in the room. There were maybe 15 people who were dancing and we had the absolu Read more

There is a difference between making a reservation and sitting on the self seat deck ..it is like one side of the tracks... versus the other ..the deck was dirty palstic tables the other was metal clean tables ..with umbrellas ..the deck side is a kindof like bring the kids have a beer and a burger ..with a limited menu ...make the reservation!! .it would be that much better..I did not ..all things considered the waitress was prompt polite and fun ...food and drinks came fast .. Tasted good Read more

We went there for our anniversary and had been there before for cocktails and beautiful sunset so I was excited to get there for... dinner. We got there early and were seated immediately which was wonderful. Our waitress seemed a little scattered but weoverlooked that. It took her a while to get our drinks to us and take our order. We ordered the clam chowder which was just warmand then I ordered the crab cakes and a side salad and my husband had the perch. After waiting over an hour for our mainentrees, during which our waitress served another large group which came in AFTER us, we still hadn't received our meals yet andI asked the host to send the manager over to us. Our food was then served by another server and no manager visit. The one biteof perch I tried from my husband's plate had a bone in it and is was cold and dried out and I was served ONE crab cake for $21!!(The online menu says "cakes", but the in-house menu was singular) Still no visit from our waitress or the manager and nowwe're waiting again for the bill and by this time my husband just wanted to leave. I again asked the host to see a manager whofinally came up front and after explaining my side she said she would adjust the bill. Then, here comes our waitress with ourbill, the full bill, and asked how our evening was. What a joke. Luckily the manager made it mostly right but we will definitelynot be going back there again.
