What a great night we had. This place has a cool history. But, best of all they have great customer service and food. We ordered... the Jumbo pretzel for an appetizer with cheese dip. Yum. Then the BBQ brisket pizza. Also very delicious. If you haven't been, this is a must stop in Bulverde. I only wish they were open for lunch. Read more

Vine in the Village has great food, wine and beer. Their staff is amazing and is always friendly. If you have never been please... treat yourself. This is one of Bulverde?s gems. Last night we witnessed a person come in and try to provoke the staff. Stating Iwant alcohol. The staff was nice explaining they had beer and wine. This individual then asked if he could use the ladies room.He asked 3 times and the answer was always yes. This individual walked around the wine bar on his phone using language tryingto provoke those around him. Everyone in the wine bar was respectful. This individual has left a review that is extremelyhateful and it is all lies. Their version of last night did not occur. Read more

First, the good news: The wine is good, and so is the food. Worth every cent they'll charge you (mostly.) Now, for the bad... news: The people here, while polite (and more than willing to take your money) should serve as a constant reminder that smallcities in rural Texas are *extremely* hostile spaces if you're queer or trans, so don't make the same mistake I did and spendmoney there, unless casual abuse is what turns you on. Basically, take a nice bottle of wine home with you, order a pizza, andenjoy said wine with people who'll respect you. I deeply regret the experience and will never do it again. You couldn't pay meenough for a repeat. Read more

I heard about this place from my husband who takes long bike rides and stumbled upon this place. It was crowded and had to... wait to sit at the bar as it?s very small and seating limited and too hot to sit outside which wasn?t even lit up or inviting.Once we found a couple seats at the bar I witnessed the owner , later identified as Dana, verbally berate a cute little petiteserver badly in front of all of us patrons. We all felt uncomfortable and kept looking at each other as to what to do, Shouldwe say something comforting to the server as she was obviously embarrassed and that should be conducted quietly in private, ifeven warranted which we all discussed after and felt not deserving of such humiliation. Wine was ok but pricey but after theberating this Dana had a scowl the rest of the evening and it was like DrJeckel, as she was very warm and welcoming when wefirst arrived. Honestly, after that experience, we will not go back and patronize an owner that treats her employees in such adisgraceful manner. I was generous with 2 star rating only because quaint and cute!
