Visited LA from Canada for the first time and stumbled across this bagel place. We ordered a special breakfast sandwich on a... bagel or something like that and it was astronomically delicious. Kept us full all day and we went hiking too. This place was sogood that we made a point of coming back a second time before we flew home. Cute lil patio chairs out front and out back to eatyour food and lounge. So amazing and tasty. Our second time back we had just regular bagels with cream cheese and it was stillotherworldly. Unfortunately, my bagel was hard and had burnt edges. Everything else was good but it's disappointing to spend $20 at a bagel... place serving burnt bagels. Staff was friendly but my bagel should have been remade before serving. Read more

I... had an unexpected visit to the area recently and had time to kill so I asked a local what I should try and they told me aboutHank's. I love a good bagel sandwich and the #1 hit the spot. Everything was fresh and tasty. The staff was friendly and helpfuland they had steady business the entire time I was there. I had never tried a bialy style bagel before and since I'm a heartyeater I grabbed one. They basically drop a lovely onion puree/jam on top of an onion bagel.
