Super disappointed over all. Read a review I?m Eater I think and was excited. Ordered a latte. Completely undrinkable. No foam.... Terribly over roasted coffee beans. Strange for a European owned place. Went a got another one down the street. La Parisiansandwich was so so. Very light on the ham. Bread was pretty good. Not amazing, which it should be if it?s the show case of thesandwich. The almond Pastry was amazing- hence the 3 stars instead of 1 or 2. Totally worth getting it. Just avoid everythingelse. If you also are passionate about puff pastry, as I am, you may know that the finest croissants outside Paris are at the bakery... in Grand Central Station in New York City, but with these so far away, you will find, in Burbank, Ca., a pastry that is in somany ways, several steps better! Le French Rooster?s kouign amann is as close to perfection as a pastry can get; a crusty goldenpuff pastry, an amazingly bronzed little cake, displaying a crown like a four pointed flower. Delectable layer upon layerexplode with buttery sweet flavors, like the perfect croissant with extras! Kouign amann, from the words cake (kouign) andbutter (amann), and with the pastry?s crispy, caramelized sugar coating and soft, buttery dough, Alex has added unashamedly alayer of almonds. This is sheer perfection, and evidence as to why there was no ?Great French Baking Show,? ?Alex would winevery time! Obviously, you will want to drive here from?anywhere. Read more

I stopped in specially to try their Kouign Amann and I?m so glad I did. It?s my favorite French pastry and yet not always... available. But the one at Le French Rooster - I had the original - might be the best I?ve ever had in LA. I stopped by close toopening and it was fresh from the oven, still warm. That?s the best time to stop in! Just be prepared for a small wait. Servicemight be a tiny bit slow but the pastries are worth the wait! Read more

Sandwiches: Parisien - delicious. One gripe is that my jaw felt like it was gonna dislocate when biting into the... baguette. Lyoones - my favorite out of the three. I loved the cornichons and the cured meats. The baguette was very tough tobite and tear. I felt like a caveman ripping off a tough piece of meat off the bone. Baked goods: Kouign Amman - probably oneof the best kouign amman that I've had. It was just the perfect amount of sweetness. Other places are just way too sweet. Thecrispy edges were amazing and not too had while the interior was very fluffy. Read more

Amazing little spot! Some of the best pastries I have ever had. I just wish the space was bigger and you could sit down inside.... But everything is delicious, well made, and the space is super cute, clean and the staff are super nice. Highly recommend! Read more
