Update 4/12/2022: Maven reached out to me a day or two after the botched pickup and not only apologized, but gave me a decent... amount of store credit to use for another purchase, which I took them up on. Adding a star for good customer service andcommunication. Also, in case better detail is helpful, the containers are generally polypropylene plastic containers that sealpretty well or zip-seal plastic bags. One complaint about their procedures: they do not label their containers to make it clearwhat's gluten-free, dairy-free, etc, unlike the way they do it on their website. Frustrating if you're ordering for agluten-free housemate in addition to yourself. This needs to be changed. ---------------------------------- Original 3 starreview: Maven Meals doesn't deliver to my zip code, though I'm only located 30 minutes away from their facility. When I went topick my meal order up, they brought only half of it out to me, which I didn't discover until I got home. This necessitatedanother trip to their facility; no compensation (coupon/discount or otherwise) was offered for the mistake that cost an extrahour of time and fuel. The meals themselves are decent, but overly salty in general. The packaging is... Adequate. Great idea,suboptimal execution and options. At least I don't need to cook much for the next few days. We buy one or more Maven meals a week and decided to purchase our entire Thanksgiving dinner from there, also. The food was not... only amazing, it was much more plentiful than I am used to. The Cornish game hens were perfectly roasted and huge--like havingour own individual small turkeys. The mushroom gravy was so good, as were the garlic mashed potatoes, maple-glazed carrots,sweet potato casserole with crumbled topping, dressing, and pear upside down cake. And it's Saturday and we're still eatingleftovers! We'll do this again next year. Read more
