I just don't have good food experiences at El Fenix no matter the location. Their food is like Ballpark food, it's cold before... it gets to where I'm going to eat it. Also, the booth bench was sagging in so it wasn't comfortable. I know El Fenix makesenough money to replace cushions. I couldn't even comfortably eat the cold food. We drive in from Waco just to visit this restaurant every now and then. It's clean, the staff is always friendly, the food is... excellent, and they have been family owned since 1916. Great job, guys! We'll see you next time. Read more
My wife and I went when we were kids would eat here, her in Longview and me in Dallas. We saw this from the highway and had to... stop. It was terrific some of the very best Mexican food I have had, plus the service was excellent. Strongly recommend thisrestaurant! Read more

I visited this place a couple times and overall it's a hit and miss situation. Is your looking for a slower paced lunch/dinner... than your ok. Margarita's are weak for the price, so I would pass or hope that they have happy hour. Chips and salsa are goodand typically that's what I pop in for. Read more
