This place is really a cool spot for a drink after dinner. It is convenient that you can have a place to go to up until midnight... in Burlingame, because usually in Burlingame most places close before that. The few beers that I had on tap different ones werevery good between the ales, IPA, and the wheat beer. Perfect for nighcaps!!! Read more
The empanadas were very tasty. Pur entire group enjoyed them. The 1 star deduction was just because of the slow/forgetful... service when some of us wanted more water....we'd had enough good beer :) Read more
The Barrelhouse is very popular and has a friendly staff. This was my second visit and both times were outside, seated or... standing in an alley. The venue has heaters and is hip, but it traps every noise and it is impossible to carry a conversation -we read each other lips and left without a voice. The Barrelhouse offers some warm appetizers and charcuterie too. Everything wetried has appealing look, but when the warm appetizers get cold, they are tasteless. The best part IMHO are the beautiful andtasty cocktails. Unfortunately the glasses are so full with ice, the actual drink is only a handful of sips. Read more
Perhaps we picked the wrong evening as there was a private event on the back patio which seemed to overwhelm serving staff. Side... patio was nice enough but service was very slow. Beer selection was limited but good. Read more
