Outstanding food and service, we had the breakfast platter which was 2 scrambled eggs and 4 pieces of bacon ???? and toast and... biscuits and my wife had the cheese omelet and side order of Southern style grits. We spent 16 dollars ???? ???? and change witha 2 dollar ???? tip lifted on the table for our waitress. She was very kind. The food is made to order so it took about 20minutes , but it was very delicious. When we went to pay the owner Mr.Carver was running the cash register and he asked how weliked the food, and invited us to come back and try the lunch menu. While we were paying a lady came in and purchased 3 poundsof BBQ for 38 dollars. I hope that it was some great BBQ. I will give it a try sometime before the holidays. This is another small, well run family business that deserves your support. My daughter and I are at a softball tournament... decided to stop here for breakfast. It was a great choice! The breakfast menu was not overwhelming, but there was plenty tochoose from and I settled for an omelet and she got two eggs plus. We were greeted quickly, seated immediately, and had ourdrinks delivered almost before I could count to three. Our food order was taken and the food came back nice and hot, just theway we ordered in what seemed to be no time at all. Aside from being delicious, it was very reasonably priced. This means - youwon't break the bank eating here either. So, when you feel like eating in an enjoyable, low-key atmosphere without a lot ofupper end hype, this place will suit your needs just perfectly and, Mr and Mrs Carver actually both work there. Great meat and veggies (or just veggies) comfort food restaurant. One of my Sunday lunch go-to favorites. Lots of choices, but... it's hard for me not to go with the excellent grilled pork chops. 2 chops and 2 sides with hush puppies (also excellent) orTexas toast for less than $9. Daily specials 7 days a week and they also have some seafood. They also serve great breakfast allday. I highly recommend, but don't come on Sunday so I don't have to wait ;-) Read more
