Didn't have a chance to try it as I was ignored by the staff. :( Sat at the table a bit, than went to the counter, and no one... acknowledged my presence. I was there during the lunch time, so I understand they were busy...but I have only 1 hour lunch andalmost wasted it standing by the counter for about 15 minutes. It smelled heavenly in there... so sad I couldn't order. :( Read more
Having read recent reviews of thick batter to not changing the oil I was a bit apprehensive meeting 2 colleagues for lunch. Glad... to be proved wrong I chatted with the female server ( who was a delight) and mentioned the batter and she said she would ask thecook to try to use less batter and drain off excess. Our meal was excellent, thin light crispy batter, not the least bit oily.Chips fresh and crispy golden , I personally prefer a bit more done but that?s not a complaint. I gave a relatively bad review when they first opened, and only today after all this time I returned to try them out. I was... delighted with my halibut and chips - the quality, taste, quantity, and even appearance was top notch, and easily on a par withyou know who on Fairview S.
