Pretty good! I went in with high expectations because I really love Thai food, overall would totally try again, 3 stars because... I would have loved a bit more sauce in the noodles or a bigger stuff to noodle ratio but overall it was decent. Chicken wasreally tasty just not as much as i would have liked, only a couple pieces. Cute place inside. Would love to try again and dinein with something else off the menu to try Edit : changed to 1 star because I went back, tried something else and exact sameissues. Also found it weird the owner comments excuses on everyone's reviews to make excuses for the sub par food. Needs morestuff in the pad Thai and more sauce cause it was 90% plain rice noodles with no sauce or flavor. So disappointed because Ireally like the location / vibe of the restaurant. Read more
Excellent restaurant with quality southeast Asian food. I always get the curried tofu with rice and peanut sauce. All the... toppings. Never fails. Always good! And the service inside is superb. Would recommend to anyone in the mood for a nice heartyfilling bowl. Read more
Finally got to eat at Basil Box, it's been discussed by me and my husband ever since it opened when we should try it. For $15... we got a drink, brownie/rice crackers/something, and 1 regular size basil box (which usually is $12+). Drink we got is aPassionfruit Lychee Soda. It was really carbonate so that was unexpected. We thought it would be full on the taste of bothfruits but it felt like it was infused with both. It was ok but since you would be drinking a lot out of this cup. we thoughtthat the ice was unnecessary since it was a cold day and it would water down the drink already. but that preference is justsubjective to each person. we still liked the drink since it met the expectations of what the beverage said it would be. Basilbox, we ordered custom made. vegetarian and for pregnant person :D so most of what we needed actually was safe for me toconsume. so we got rice, sweet potato, coconut curry tofu, tangy tamarind, crushed peanuts, and crispy shallots! we weredelighted that they can also serve vegan/gluten free items. these items looked fresh also on the containers and they had theirown tongs so no cross contamination happening between meat/veggies etc. it actually did taste good, for me. as a pregant womanon her 2nd trimester, im very picky and i could vomit what doesn't work. im glad we got tangy tamarind bec it was not invasiveto my palette and it was still tasty. the server was kind enough to make sure to tell us that it's a bit sour and fruity, andtold us we can choose all the toppings. i was so happy cz our combination worked! yes, i have tried myself to make other weirdcombinations on sauces and other food and this time it worked for me and my husband. 2 stars for the clean restaurant and friendly staff. Unfortunately the food tasted more like a reheated frozen dinner than a... freshly made dish. I had the pad thai with chicken and it really did taste like an instant pad thai that I used to make. Wishthe food had better flavor.
