I love their cakes! I?ve tried three different ones so far and loved them all. However, I can?t say the same about the... viennoiseries. The butter croissants are not buttery enough and lack crunchiness. As for the almond croissant, the frangipanedoesn?t taste like one. Overall, I would recommend the place for their cakes. Read more
I ordered this wonderful Roasted Pumpkin Tart from Chez Christophe in North Burnaby when it was Thanksgiving weekend. The tart... was light and airy; it had that familiar pumpkin spice flavour that I crave from pumpkin pie every year but with an added touchof sophistication to it. I love pumpkin pie so much but this was better than pumpkin pie. The texture was light and airy; it wasnot as dense as regular pumpkin pie tends to be. With every bite I took, I had to let out a happy sigh of contentment. Amongstmany of the things I am thankful for in my life, I am thankful that I got to try Roasted Pumpkin Tart from Chez Christophe .It's the best Thanksgiving dessert I've ever had. I could eat it all year round. I wish they would make it a regular item ontheir menu! I am also thankful that I got to try these croissant cubes from Chez Christophe. The croissant cubes caught my eyequite awhile ago and I'd been wanting to try them for ever so long. Finally got my chance! I ordered these croissant cubesfrom Chez Christophe and they did not disappoint. So crisp and flakey. One of the best croissants I've had anywhere. I justwish they would have written down somewhere, what the flavour of the filling was as there was no choice of flavour when I placedmy order. Whatever it was, it was delicious! The dessert at the place was superb. I can tell that they put a lot of time and effort into each piece and it shows in the... presentation and the flavour. We got the earl grey cream puff and another piece that I?m forgetting the name of but it?s one ofmy favourite desserts. I?m not the biggest fan of sweets but this had me wanting more. I also enjoyed their pastry and coffee aswell. I will definitely come back to try other dessert options and also to try out their chocolate. Delicious goods here. Invidividual mousse cakes are decadent with layers of flavors. The travel cake is on the dry side but... excellent accompanied with coffee or tea as its advertised it does not require refrigeration. Line ups form on weekends butworth the wait. Lemon tart is pricey but the best we have had in town. Cheers to Chez Christophe! Read more

Had a London fog (more milk than tea flavour), a gingerbread dessert cake (Gingy) and a cherry dessert cake that I couldn?t... pronounce the name of lol. Loved the punch of ginger and molasses flavours in the Gingy enrobed in a gingerbread white chocoshell! There were multiple layers, one of which consisted of a ginger gelee, and it was lovely! The cherry cake had 8 thinlayers, all of them beautifully constructed; I could taste strong cherry and hazelnut flavours in the cake! Overall I?d comeback to try more desserts! Read more
